Quick Delivery Packaging Solutions for COVID-19 Diagnostic Tubes
There is an immediate need for equipment that can package COVID-19 diagnostic tubes and vaccines. As the exclusive supplier of Dara Pharmaceutical Packaging equipment in North America, NJM can help with several solutions that are available with quick delivery times.

The Dara SX-50 SpeedFill from NJM features a peristaltic filling pump propelled by a powerful servomotor for microtubes, bottles and vials. The peristaltic head pumps the product in a smooth and progressive way. It is excellent for dosing of suspensions, vaccines, cellular tissue and other types of non-viscous liquid. This machine is in stock and ready for immediate delivery.

The Dara SX-100 TableTop Peristaltic Filling Pump System from NJM provides accurate and high quality dosing of bottles, tubes and vials with an output up to 50 upm. It’s available in a 2-3 week delivery time.

The Dara SX-180-R-MT/S Mictrotube Filler / Capper from NJM is a compact machine for filling, closing and labeling microtubes. It runs at 60 upm.

When it comes to labeling your tubes, vials and/or syringes, NJM’s Courser 230 offers robust construction and fast changeovers. This new multi-product labeler can handle microtubes now and be easily changed over to label vials or syringes in the future. Its compact size minimizes floorspace requirements.

Introducing the Trotter 127 Labeler for Nasal Sprays
ProMach Pharma Solutions offers much more than out-of-the-box, plug-and-play equipment. When our customers need something more specialized, our experienced engineers deliver.
NJM recently adapted the Trotter 127 pressure sensitive labeler to handle nasal spray devices in pucks. On our traditional Trotter 127, an overhead pressure belt firmly holds the packages during labeling, but this isn’t possible with nasal spray devices due to the pointed top. Instead, we equipped the Trotter 127 with a hugger belt mechanism at the label application point, which firmly holds the pucks as they move through the labeling station. This eliminates the need for an overhead pressure belt, allowing the tip of each nasal spray device to remain free of contact with machinery components.
The Trotter 127 for nasal spray devices is suitable for oval shaped unit-dose systems (UDS) and round shaped biodose systems (BDS). When applying wraparound labels to biodose systems, the hugger belts can be transformed into a wrap-around application station by moving the belts upwards and towards the product using the system’s built-in adjustment features. A conveyor loop was also integrated to recirculate the pucks.
Whether standard or customized, the Trotter 127 maximizes production flexibility and eases use at an affordable price point. We can configure it to apply wraparound, front-and-back and 3-, 4- and 5-panel labels to round, square, rectangular and oval bottles, including containers with handles. It’s suitable for a wide range of applications including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics and personal care products, household chemicals, food products and more.

Dual-Purpose Capability with the Courser 230 Vial/Syringe Labeler
Versatility – it’s a hot topic these days. More and more of our customers are asking for highly flexible, low-volume packaging equipment that can quickly adapt to different types of packages and products. To meet this demand, NJM has launched several versatile systems in the last year including the Model 403 Final Touch print & apply labeler for secondary packages and the Trotter Model 127 pressure sensitive labeler for round, square, rectangular and oval bottles. Now, we’re offering our customers the all-new Courser 230 vial/syringe labeler.
What makes Courser unique is its dual-purpose design. This compact labeler can be built to handle both vials and syringes or dedicated to one, with the option to later modify the system in the field. Actually, NJM can configure each Courser to label even more than vials and syringes, including bottles, ampules, cartridges, centrifuge tubes, auto-injectors and other small or unstable packages. By enabling a wide variety of packages to be labeled on a single machine, Courser reduces floorspace requirements and the cost of investment.
Ideal for pharmaceutical manufacturers, contract packers, 503B pharmacies, biotech companies and others, Courser can be designed with a manual infeed and discharge or integrated into a fully automated line to meet the needs of each customer. It’s perfect for small production runs, offering speeds of up to 250 vials per minute and 200 syringes per minute. Applying clear and opaque plastic, metallic and paper labels, Courser achieves a placement accuracy of +/- 1/32 inches (1mm). Changeover is fast too – it can be switched to handle a new package type and/or size in 10 to 15 minutes with minimal adjustments and no tools required.
If you’re heading to Pack Expo this month, visit the ProMach Pharma Business Line at Healthcare Packaging Expo booth N-307 to see the Courser 230 on exhibit and speak with a member of our team.
