ProMach Pharma Business Line on Exhibit at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2019
Next month Pack Expo Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging Expo are taking over the Las Vegas Convention Center, and the ProMach Pharma Business Line is rolling out all the stops! We’ll have new equipment and customer favorites on exhibit, plus a fleet of knowledgeable team members available to help visitors find the perfect solutions to their production challenges.
Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ll be showcasing:

One of the hottest technologies is the Autonomy IV on-demand digital label printer from WLS. Responding to increased customer interest as well as a variety of newly identified applications, WLS developed the Autonomy IV printer to meet new needs in pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical markets.
WLS is also exhibiting their inline VR 60 trunnion labeler, a high-speed solution for applying film or pressure sensitive labels onto round containers using a vertical roller track design that references the container sidewall for consistent and precise label application.
NJM is displaying a few new systems, including the never-before-seen Courser vial/syringe labeler. Running at speeds up to 250 cpm for vials and 200 cpm for syringes, it’s designed to meet the growing needs of biotech companies and 503b pharmacies for personalized medicine packaging.
Also at Healthcare Packaging Expo for the first time is NJM’s Cumulus Model SLPP-15 case packer, a perfect solution to quickly and easily add traceability while automating end-of-line processes to increase productivity.
Following its worldwide debut last year, NJM is returning with the Trotter 127 pressure sensitive labeler. It’s similar to the multi-functional Trotter 126 labeler but with PC-based controls from B&R Industrial Automation that enable new functionality.
Another fan favorite we’re bringing back is the Cremer CFS-622*4 tablet counter. Featuring four filling modules to pack up to 200 cpm, this versatile counting and filling system handles almost any size tablet, capsule or softgel and fills almost any size bottle.
NJM’s beltorque high-speed capper will also be on exhibit. Rivaling the speeds of complex rotary cappers, the inline beltorque caps up to 300 cpm with simple mechanics, fast changeovers and low maintenance.
The UNISORT 32 bottle unscrambler from NJM is making an appearance as well. Offering superior ergonomics and fast changeovers, this compact system orients and feeds round, rectangular or square plastic bottles.
In addition to our many solutions on exhibit at #N-307, we have an abundance of systems we couldn’t physically fit into our booth! You can see more equipment at Zalkin’s booth, #C-2818, and ID Technology’s booth, #C-3225. If you’d like to join us in Las Vegas Sept 23-25, we’re providing our guests with free registration – just use this link and input code ‘37T84.’
We’ll see you there!

Precise Medical Device Labeling with Horizontal Roller Labeler from WLS
The global medical device market has exploded over the last decade and continues to grow. With international sales of medical devices expected to reach $543.9 billion by 2020, the ProMach Pharma Business Line is launching new packaging equipment solutions for medical devices, such as the Horizontal Roller (HR) in-line labeler from WLS. In particular, the HR excels at labeling auto-injector devices, which allow the patient to self-administer without the need for a syringe and a vial.
Applying pressure sensitive labels onto round or nearly round medical devices and other cylindrical products, the HR labeler is ideal for many auto-injectors. For consistent and precise label application, the labeler features a horizontal roller track that references the container sidewall and is combined with a vacuum drum label application. The HR can be designed to orient the auto-injector prior to labeling. Variable data, including a serialized code, can be printed on the label prior to application. The printed code is verified by a camera and an ‘Interceptor’ option can be provided to remove a rejected label prior to labeling, so that a rejected label is never applied to an expensive product. Finally, various levels of labeled device inspection can be provided.
In cooperation with other ProMach brands, WLS offers robotic mechanisms for the automated in-feed and out-feed of devices to and from other packaging machines or trays.
Several HR labelers are already in operation and customer demand is growing. Beyond medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotech, these machines can label many round or nearly round products and containers at very high speeds, such as batteries and e-cigarette cartridges.
Like all WLS equipment, the HR labeler is backed by their industry-leading extended warranty. WLS is known for quality, impeccable service and the best customer care.
New LP-100R from WLS Prints High Quality, On-Demand Labels
At Weiler Labeling Systems, we understand no two customers are the same. That’s why we design and manufacture a variety of labeling solutions, from simple to sophisticated. Get exactly the right machine every time – no compromises necessary.
For manufacturers and contract packers who need extreme flexibility and top-of-the-line quality, we have exciting news: our new LP-100R printer will make its worldwide debut at Healthcare Packaging Expo Booth #W-703 in October. This on-demand, stand-alone solution eliminates the need to inventory distinct labels for each product without sacrificing speed or quality. Capable of producing the highest graded codes, it achieves excellent resolution and print wear resistance on a wide variety of substrates, maximizing label quality and permanence at speeds up to 4,700 inches per minute.
The LP-100R is more than an everyday, run-of-the-mill printer. Featuring UV-curing and drop-on-demand capabilities, it can create high-impact visual graphics in full color or black-and-white as well as linear barcodes, serialized 2D data matrix barcodes and human readable codes. Ideal for many applications including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, diagnostics, medical devices, biotech and more, the LP-100R is suitable for printing variable data on pre-printed labels and on-demand printing the entire label from ‘bright stock.’
If needed, WLS can equip the LP-100R with a vision inspection system and ‘reconciler’ to automatically remove any out-of-tolerance labels from the label roll. For customers printing whole labels, Antares Vision designed a new narrow web Total Layout Control (TLC) vision inspection system specifically for the LP-100R.
Learn all about this new printer in our press release and visit the ProMach Pharma Business Line Oct 14 to 17 at Healthcare Packaging Expo Booth #W-703.
