> NJM Packaging and PMMI are helping the next generation of engineers
NJM has had the pleasure of welcoming the Tech for Kids and Tech JR robotics teams from College Regina Assumpta to our plant. The visit marked a special milestone in our ongoing commitment to supporting young innovators and fostering the future of engineering.
đ€ A Gift for Learning and Innovation
NJM proudly donated a Fanuc pick and place unit, which the College will use for academic purposes and demonstrations. This cutting-edge equipment will give students hands-on experience with industrial robotics, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications.
đĄ Partnerships That Empower Students
In close collaboration with ProMach and NJM, PMMI generously matched the equipmentâs value with additional funds to further support the robotics teams. Together, our organizations share a common core value: investing in the development of promising students and empowering the next generation of engineers.
đ A Heartfelt Thank You
The students expressed their gratitude in the most thoughtful wayâby presenting a handmade card signed by every team member. Their message not only thanked ProMach, NJM, and PMMI for their support, but also wished all partners a joyful holiday season.
đ„ Celebrating the Moment
The visit was made memorable with the presence of:
- Sylvain Gauvreau, Lead Teacher of the Robotics Program
- Steve Leduc, VP-GM of NJM
- Maxime Demers, Engineering Manager at NJM
- Khalid Bouroudane, Senior Electrical Engineer
Together, they joined the students to tour the plant and officially mark the donation.
đ€ Student Reflections
The students: (from left to right) Aubin Roumiga, Eliana Barriault, Raphael DeschĂȘnes, Ismail Braik, and Ludovic ThĂ©riault.
- Ludovic ThĂ©riault: âVisiting the ProMach factory was really interesting and gave me a cool insight into how an industrial environment works.â
- Aubin Roumiga: âThank you for inviting us! Such a good work environment for employees and a great facility.â
- Raphael DeschĂȘnes: âThe visit to the NJM factory was very interesting. They showed us their machine shop, which is similar to the one we have, and explained what they do in the automation industry.â
At NJM and ProMach, we are incredibly proud of these studentsâ achievements. Their passion, creativity, and dedication inspire us all, and we look forward to seeing how they will shape the future of technology and engineering.
