Connect with the ProMach Pharma Business Line at Interphex 2019
Pharmaceutical and biotech leaders are gathering in New York City in two weeks for one of the hottest shows in the industry – Interphex! We’re excited to announce that this year the ProMach Pharma Business Line is launching some brand new equipment and we’re bringing back some customer favorites.
You might have seen the news from NJM last week about the new semi-manual Cumulus Model SLPP-15 Case Packer. Combining solutions from NJM and Wexxar Bel as well as serialization and aggregation options from OPTEL, it’s the smallest and most affordable case packing station currently on the market that satisfies upcoming aggregation legislation. In addition to handling regulated pharmaceuticals, it’s also ideal for OTC pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, foods, beverages and more.
NJM is also introducing the Dara NFL/2-RDL aseptic filling and closing machine for vials – a twist on the high speed SX-310-RDL we debuted last year but for smaller capacity lines. Just like the SX-310-RDL, the NFL/2-RDL fills vials and closes them with RayDyLyo caps, but now, the new system handles nests of pre-sterilized, ready-to-use vials. Massively simplifying small scale-production, the NFL/2-RDL is perfect for biotech companies and 503B pharmacies that are scaling up to small-batch commercial production. You can check out both the Dara NFL/2-RDL and the SX-310-RDL in person at the show!
The hugely popular LP-100R on-demand printer from WLS will also be back on exhibit. This stand-alone color printer produces top-of-the-line, wear-resistant labels at high throughputs, eliminating the need to inventory distinct labels for each product without sacrificing speed or quality.
That isn’t all! Matrix, Greydon and Shuttleworth (fellow ProMach Brands) will also be in our booth with a variety of pharma and biopharma equipment, plus there will be even more tried and true favorites from NJM. Register for free using our link and visit us at Interphex booth #2353 April 2-4 to learn about our world-class solutions!
Aggregation Made Easy with the Cumulus Model SLPP-15 Case Packer
As track-and-trace deadlines loom, pharmaceutical manufacturers and contract packers both big and small are rushing to get their serialized packages aggregation-ready. To help our customers prepare, NJM and the ProMach Innovation Center are hard at work developing new equipment that makes the process fast, simple and affordable. Their latest case packer solution – the semi-manual Cumulus Model SLPP-15 Case Packer, debuting next month at Interphex booth #2353.
As the smallest and most affordable case packing station currently on the market that satisfies upcoming aggregation legislation, the Cumulus is perfect for manufacturers and packers who want to quickly and easily add traceability while automating end-of-line processes to increase productivity.
The high-performance Cumulus Model SLPP-15 Case Packer features a servo-driven, two-axis pick and place robot that packs up to 10 cases per minute. The cases are packed with up to 180 bottles per minute, depending on the number of layers and bottles in the case. It handles round and rectangular bottles and can quickly be changed over to handle a new bottle and case size with no tools required.
Combining best-in-class solutions from NJM and Wexxar Bel, the versatile Cumulus can package OTC pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, foods and beverages and other products. To package regulated pharmaceuticals, serialization and aggregation options from OPTEL can be added.

Simplified Vial Filling with the New Dara NFL/2-RDL from NJM
Here at NJM, we’re always looking for new ways to apply our customers’ favorite packaging solutions to a broader range of applications. That’s why, this year at Interphex, we’re debuting the Dara NFL/2-RDL aseptic filling and closing machine for vials. It’s a twist on the high speed SX-310-RDL, which was a hit with our customers at Interphex last year, but for processors with smaller capacity requirements.
Like the SX-310-RDL, the NFL/2-RDL fills vials and closes them with RayDyLyo caps. But now, the new system handles nests of pre-sterilized, ready-to-use vials, which massively simplifies small scale-production by eliminating the need for a washer and dehydrogenation tunnel. This makes the NFL/2-RDL ideal for biotech companies and 503B pharmacies that are scaling up to achieve small batch commercial production.
The NFL/2-RDL packages biopharmaceutical solutions, suspensions, diagnostics or vaccines in glass or plastic vials, which remain in the nest while being filled and sealed. The vials are closed with ARaymondlife’s patented RayDyLyo caps – pre-assembled plastic closures that feature a rubber stopper within the cap to minimize the ‘pop-off’ effect and eliminate the risk of stoppers adhering to freeze dryer plates. By utilizing RayDyLyo caps, the NFL/2-RDL and the SX-310-RDL both eliminate the crimping that’s required with traditional aluminum closures and the particulate generation that comes with it.
The fully servo-driven NFL/2-RDL simplifies the packaging operation by filling ready-to-use vials in nests and leveraging RayDyLyo caps to reduce capital costs, minimize footprint and speed changeover.
