Weiler Labeling Systems COVID-19 Updates
In these difficult times, we want to update you on the steps Weiler Labeling Systems (WLS) is taking to protect our employees and our customers.
WLS started 2020 with a strong backlog of orders. As an essential service provider, we have continued operating during this pandemic, and incoming orders have not slowed down. Among other things, we are working to fulfill the urgent need for equipment to package future COVID-19 vaccines, including by redirecting systems built for cancelled shows.

We remain committed to keeping our customers’ packaging lines operating as efficiently as possible while focusing on the safety of all personnel. Some of the measures we have implemented to date are:
- Keeping the number of people in our facility to a minimum by limiting the amount of employees in close contact on the assembly floor and by enacting a work-from-home policy for office personnel, sales staff and others who do not need to be in our facility
- Implementing a daily temperature check of everyone entering our facility
- Providing each employee with a face mask and gloves while they are in our facility
- Asking any employees experiencing symptoms to stay home
- Not allowing non-employees into our facility except in emergencies
- Continuing to offer customers telephone and video support with our sales and service personnel
Our team is ready to travel and available to visit customers, but now we are also offering customers new ways to interact with our staff including:
- Expanded use of online meeting tools such as Skype, Zoom, MS Teams and more
- Use of augmented reality tools for remote field service support and, when authorized by customer, remote access to the machine controls via secure connection (for the time being, the first hour of remote support is offered free of charge)
- Implementation and completion of virtual factory acceptance tests (FAT) using multiple cameras, so that our customers can see every detail of the machine and its HMI from their office PC in real time (for the time being, this service is offered free of charge)

We hope things get back to normal soon and look forward to seeing you again face to face.

ProMach Pharma Solutions: 2019 in Review
2019 was a big year here at ProMach Pharma Solutions. We launched a lot of new equipment. Our team grew. We attended some great trade shows and met with thousands of pharma and biotech processors and contract packers from around the world. Here’s a look back at what’s happened over the last 12 months:

In January, NJM introduced Dara’s NFL/2-RDL aseptic filling and closing machine to North America. This fully servo-driven system seals ready-to-use vials with RayDyLyo caps to streamline the packaging operation. In February, WLS announced their Horizontal Roller (HR) in-line labeler, which applies pressure sensitive labels onto round or nearly round medical devices and other cylindrical products. Then, in March, NJM released their semi-manual Cumulus Model SLPP-15 case packer, the smallest and most affordable case packing station currently on the market that satisfies aggregation legislation.
At Pack Expo Las Vegas / Healthcare Packaging Expo, WLS showcased their Autonomy IV on-demand digital label printer, an extremely flexible, stand-alone solution capable of producing a variety of labels, from the highest quality graphics in full color to simple black and white barcodes. NJM debuted a new system, the Courser 230 labeler, which can be designed to run vials, syringes and/or other small or unstable packages.
In 2019, the ProMach Pharma Solutions team got a little bigger with the addition of our first ever European Sales Manager, Layth Obeidat, who is spearheading our expanding sales and service activities in Europe. Laura Coman joined NJM to supervise the growing parts department as Parts Sales Manager.
Looking ahead to 2020, we have many exciting announcements on the way that we can’t wait to share! Keep your eyes on this blog, as well as the NJM and WLS social media pages, to stay up to date.

ProMach Pharma Business Line: 2018 in Review
Three cheers for the New Year! 2018 was a big one here at the ProMach Pharma Business Line, so we wanted to take a moment to reflect upon our advancements.
First up – product news. NJM launched the versatile Model 403 Final Touch Print & Apply Labeler for cases and shrink wrapped bundles, featuring a modular design, flexible PLC controls and a variety of optional label applicator tools. The new Trotter 127 pressure sensitive labeler offers some great additions to the popular Trotter 126 for customers seeking a multi-functional system at an affordable price. NJM also introduced two Dara aseptic filling and closing machines, the SX-310-RDL and the HSL-PP/4, which are ideal for biopharmaceutical products.
WLS debuted the LP-100R, a stand-alone, on-demand label printer that achieves fast speeds and the highest quality, as well as the VCV Fiber Laser Vial Coder, which marks ‘bright stock’ vials to improve traceability while maximizing production efficiencies.
In 2018, we continued to grow the new ProMach Innovation Center, a powerful resource for developing unique solutions for the pharma, biotech, cosmetic, food processing and chemical industries. To deliver the best standard equipment or custom-designed solution, our experienced engineers collaborate closely with customers and monitor the projects from inception to completion.
Showcasing NJM’s commitment to customer success, Apace Packaging sung the praises of their new high-speed bottling line, featuring track-and-trace capabilities, in a 2018 case study.
For 2019, we’re cooking up some exciting announcements that we can’t wait to share! Keep your eyes on this blog, as well as the NJM and WLS social media pages, to stay up to date.
If you want to chat with our team and check out some of the equipment we offer in person, you can meet up us at Interphex booth #2353 (April 2-4), Pack Expo Las Vegas / Healthcare Packaging (September 23-25) and ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo (October 27-30).
New LP-100R from WLS Prints High Quality, On-Demand Labels
At Weiler Labeling Systems, we understand no two customers are the same. That’s why we design and manufacture a variety of labeling solutions, from simple to sophisticated. Get exactly the right machine every time – no compromises necessary.
For manufacturers and contract packers who need extreme flexibility and top-of-the-line quality, we have exciting news: our new LP-100R printer will make its worldwide debut at Healthcare Packaging Expo Booth #W-703 in October. This on-demand, stand-alone solution eliminates the need to inventory distinct labels for each product without sacrificing speed or quality. Capable of producing the highest graded codes, it achieves excellent resolution and print wear resistance on a wide variety of substrates, maximizing label quality and permanence at speeds up to 4,700 inches per minute.
The LP-100R is more than an everyday, run-of-the-mill printer. Featuring UV-curing and drop-on-demand capabilities, it can create high-impact visual graphics in full color or black-and-white as well as linear barcodes, serialized 2D data matrix barcodes and human readable codes. Ideal for many applications including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, diagnostics, medical devices, biotech and more, the LP-100R is suitable for printing variable data on pre-printed labels and on-demand printing the entire label from ‘bright stock.’
If needed, WLS can equip the LP-100R with a vision inspection system and ‘reconciler’ to automatically remove any out-of-tolerance labels from the label roll. For customers printing whole labels, Antares Vision designed a new narrow web Total Layout Control (TLC) vision inspection system specifically for the LP-100R.
Learn all about this new printer in our press release and visit the ProMach Pharma Business Line Oct 14 to 17 at Healthcare Packaging Expo Booth #W-703.
